The Health Insurance Marketplace, also called the “health exchange,” the “marketplace,” or “Obamacare,” is a federal service that helps people shop for and enroll in health insurance. The marketplace is available at HealthCare.gov for most states, but if you live in a state that has set up its own marketplace, HealthCare.gov will direct you to the correct website.

The US Department of Veterans Affairs covers health care services and benefits for those who qualify. You may be eligible for VA health care benefits if you served in the active military, naval, or air service and didn’t receive a dishonorable discharge.
